It certainly has been awhile since our last post! We were having some website issues. But all is well again and, hopefully, we’ll get back to blogging on a more regular basis.
So for our first post-issue news item, I’d like to celebrate our oldest Guild member, Wilma Kribs. Her New York Beauty quilt was hanging in our MPS quilt show at the Beaverton Library last month. It caught the eye of Bill Volckening who is a collector of New York Beauties and has written a beautiful book about his collection. He was excited to see the quilt, and even more so when…..
Well, it would be much better to have him tell the story. Click here and you’ll be taken to Bill’s blog, “Wonkyworld”, where you can read his post and see his beautiful pictures of the quilt. It’s a lovely tribute to an inspiring woman. Enjoy!
(Special thanks to Liz McElhinny, for bringing this to my attention.)
