Q.  What has 16 thumbs and is showing some beautiful quilts in West Linn? A.  The MPS small group, Quilters On The Edge (QOTE) Yes, the small group has several quilts hanging at the West Linn Library in the Community Room.  These quilts are the result of their many group projects and will be displayed through the entire month of January.  There is a lot of diversity in their projects, so you will see a lot of different kinds of quilts. Bordered Diamonds Workshop coming to MPS!

Simple Shapes Spectacular Quilts Taken straight from the book, “Simple Shapes, Spectacular Quilts” by Kaffe Fassett, MPS is offering a workshop on January 31, 2015.  The workshop topic will be Bordered Diamond quilts, and the instructor is our own member, Betsy Sayre.  She has taken a bordered diamond class from Mr. Fassett himself and loves, Loves, LOVES the pattern.  In fact, she’s already made nine (yup, 9!) bordered diamond quilts.  That makes her something of an expert. What excites Betsy about this quilt pattern is the way she can make each center diamond sing and dance just by using the correct fabric for her framing.Read More →
