MPS UFO CHALLENGE 2017
In January, we kicked off our UFO Challenge for 2017. Between now and our July 25th Guild meeting, you are challenged to complete as many Un-Finished Objects as you can find that are stashed away under things or hidden in cupboards and closets. For $10, you have the opportunity to finish up to six quilts or wearable art pieces. For each piece, you will be given a ticket that will be placed in the hat for the drawing to be held on July 25th. Obviously, the more times you enter, the greater your chances of winning. The winning proceeds will be split between three winners with the first prize totaling 1/2 of the pot and the second and third prizes equal to 1/4 of the pot each.
The requirements are easy, but important:
- You must be a member of the Metropolitan Patchwork Society.
- The quilt must be finished! That’s right, it must be bound, faced, or hemmed. Whatever it takes to have a finished product.
- You must show the piece at the Program’s table to receive a ticket for the drawing.
- You are encouraged to share your finished object during the Inspirations portion of that night’s meeting.
This is our second annual UFO Challenge. Our Challenge for 2016 was a great success and we saw lots and lots of beautiful pieces that are UFO’s no more!
