A few weeks ago I made a trip to Vancouver WA with my husband. He is a train guy and I
dropped him off at the Wye and went off to explore some quilt shops in the area.
The first shop was A Quilt Forever. It is a family-owned business that Yvette and her mother
Sharon run. They have an online store and recently moved the bricks and mortar shop from
their home to a retail space. Fabrics run from Civil War traditional to contemporary modern
lines. The new space has a classroom and the ladies plan to offer classes soon.
It was a friendly, cozy shop with a nice variety of fabric and patterns. Give them a try!
Thanks, Liz! It’s always good to hear about another nearby shop .
Here’s a link to the shop’s website: A Quilt Forever
Their address and hours are posted on the “Contact” page of the website.
Be sure and check this blog again. Liz explored a couple of other shops that day and will report on them soon.
PS: Have you heard of a “wye”? I hadn’t until now. But here’s a link to a Wikipedia article that will tell you everything (and more!) that you would ever want to know about it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wye_(railroad)
I really like the blog. It feels like I'm hearing you tell me about the meeting over a cup of tea. I look forward to reading more like this.
