Before we get too far into 2025, let’s take one more look back at 2024 with our final 25th Anniversary celebration. On November 26th, at our General Meeting, our members revealed the final results of our 2024 Quilt Challenge. In keeping with our anniversary focus for the year, Ruth T challenged us to make something using 25 of anything–be it 25 fabrics, 25 threads, 25 seams–you get the picture. All of our members were given a fat quarter of silver fabric to use in our challenge projects or any other way we wanted.
Over a third of our membership embraced the challenge, and we revealed 42 quilts and projects that evening. It was wonderful to see the quilts and hear about the thought and process behind them. Talk about inspirational!
You can see the quilts and read about them on our challenge page using the button below. You can also see a parade of the quilts over on our YouTube channel using the other button. In fact, while you’re there, check out the video of our Silver Jubilee that took place on June 25th.
2024 was quite a year for the Metropolitan Patchwork Society. Did you enjoy our year of celebration? What was your favorite activity? Let us know in the comments below.
