MPS will be featuring its annual Quilt College this coming Tuesday, May 24th, at 6:30 PM. Our quilting professors are all lined up, and they have chosen their subject matter for the mini-courses. The rest of us will be divided into four learning groups, and over the course of the evening, we will be given the opportunity to attend each class.
This year, our teaching staff includes Judy Liebo, Marcia Sanderman, Bette King, and Carolyn Bahrman. They are a talented group of quilters, and the class participants can expect to gain knowledge and great inspiration from these courses.
Of course, that’s not all the evening has to offer…
Our fearless VAMPF Chair, Mim Gray, has put together a fabulous opportunity for us to shop for fabric! She has tirelessly sorted through the donated VAMPF fabric pieces and sorted them BY COLOR into at least fourteen different stashes. The fabric ranges in size from fat quarters to just under a yard. She will be selling gift bags for $2 apiece and then sending you off to fill your bags TO THE BRIM.
Plan to bring a few dollars with you on Tuesday night. You’ll probably want to purchase more than one bag. All the money collected will go to our Vicky Arnold Memorial Program Fund.
This is a great way to fill any color “holes” you have in your stash! And if you’re signed up for Ann Shaw’s workshop, what a great opportunity to pick out some of your “50” required fabrics.
Speaking of Ann Shaw’s workshop…
There is still room in her “Flowers of the Gorge” Pieced Art Quilt Workshop on Saturday, June 4th. The class has been moved back to Hudson Plaza. Get all the details on our Workshops page.
We’ll end the evening with a showing of our Insprirations and finished UFO’s. See you there!
