“Stand and Stow Bag” This was a fun class I took at my quilt guild, creating this stand and foldable bag. It is a great bag. It will hold three project storage bins.

“Optical Illusion Checkerboard” I bought this fabric from Deb Messina years ago with the intentions of making my son a quilt. He finally wore out his quilt I made him and so I dug it out of my stash and got busy. The hardest part of it was getting the pieces put together in the correct order to create the illusion.

Birthday banner season begins in February for me. My now 5 year old grandson begins the season. When he opened the banner, he announced’ I love cupcakes and grandma, you got it right’. His 4 year old banner came down and his five year old banner went up. He was officially 5!!Linda "Birthday Banner"

I wanted to cover pillows with a winter theme that could show after Thanksgiving and during the winter months that was not Christmas. Got the embroidery pattern for a table runner off my Retreat’s group ‘free’ table and instead of a table runner broke up the design to use on pillows. Added some stars. Makes me smile!

I won three of these fabrics last month at Inspirations. I added two from my stash. I enjoy the challenge of figuring out how to use my winnings. I have decided to donate this quilt to the Linus Project. I quilted it with hearts for the child who receives it.

“Have a Heart” Needed a February themed quilt for our themed display area in our dining room. This scrapping piece using 1200 inches of 1 1/2” strips for the background. And 650” of the same size strips for the heart. It was a great stash buster. The variety of pieces in the low volume beige section is really fun. I used the pool noodle from 25th anniversary swag bag to roll up the long strips.

“Play, Eat, Sleep, Repeat” This baby quilt is a gift for a very modern new mom. It is one of my first forays into “modern quilting.” It doesn’t look very baby like to me. I just had to add some softer prints in the improv backing. Quilted by Carol Parks.

Saw Bette King’s quilt in a text, decided to figure out the pattern and make it. Linda had a pattern, she sent it to me, I had to try it. Deb’s daughter needs these pillow cases. Friends and MPS Members can be inspiration to sewing ideas in a casual minute.
