Fall is my favorite Season and all the Fall quilts in my home reflect my appreciation for Fall colors. Liked the printed autumn design on these small panels. May need to flip them to the back when serving spaghetti sauce!

“Firefly” My granddaughter, Quinn, loves dragons and I made this for her 7th birthday. I had the template pattern for the dragon and then had to design the borders which was a new challenge for me. The quilt label had to be a dragon egg, of course! Quilted by Jenice Poff.

Joyce Wood

Made this for a friend’s son who turned 40.

My former co worker asked me to make this for her son who competed in fencing. It was challenging, but I learned a lot from the project.

Saga of my Purple and black series #2 I’m making for my great nieces, per request of my Mom.
This niece is a serious 14 yr old to be lawyer. She wants to be the next RBG! No fluff nor frills! Quilted by Elisa Corcoran.

My daughter teaches Art in. PreK-5th Elementary school, S. Bronx. Her 2nd grade students dyed fabric squares with variety of natural dyes. My dtr challenged me to make a rug with them. I pieced the blocks, pieced a huge batting and backing—then machine tacked the intersections.
The rug lasted 2 years…the ‘ragged’ rug came back this summer for refurbishment. I zig zagged all the seams, darned many toe holes and put on rubber rug backing!

I wanted to use up some of my blue fabrics. I had done this same pattern in reds, oranges and black previously. I faced the quilt rather than doing a binding.

Fresh from MPS silent auction finds, I used a bundle I had purchased with some orphan blocks I had on hand. The orphan blocks were also used on the back of the quilt. I rimed the block several times with strips. Then cut the block in quarters and turned them to create the sorbet wave.

I like this pattern for children’s quilts; it is fairly simple but you can incorporate a variety of colors to enhance the design. The back is a variety of flannels- nice and cozy! I was thrilled to find a binding that went so well for each side. Hope a child likes it. Quilted by Christine Chapman.

I saw the free Ribbon Box pattern on a fabric website and decided then and there to make it using two lines of fabric I saw at Montavilla Sewing in Lake Oswego. I made the quilt 6″ wider and also made changes in the construction to eliminate a lot of seams that broke up the continuity of the fabric designs. I like the pattern so much I have made a second version! Quilted by Karlee Sandell.

Teresa Koster

Made using winnings from the MPS Inspirations Drawing.

This digital design is definitely not for beginners. I ran into some difficulties, but was able to figure out how to solve the problems. It stitched out beautifully with a little help and understanding on how to place the designs exactly where they needed to go.
