I wanted a piece of my quilt art to hang in my new house entry. It is on a south wall, protected from rain and sun for the late winter months. This is an Ann Shaw pattern. I reversed the seams to give it more depth and a woodsy feel. It was framed by Robert Tompkin.

Made this table topper with my friends I sew with on Tuesday. Four of us completed it. All turned out different. Used 41 charms to make this.

Holliberry Circle is my second wall hanging made using the pattern “Dresden Neighborhood” by Persimon Dreams. It’s meant to be square but I decided to make this one round. I used fabrics left over from another project and added a few more pieces from my stash. Decorating the little wall quilt with vintage buttons added another layer of whimsy to my wonky Dresden Neighborhood.

Instead of making a much larger quilt with my blocks, I chose to make two smaller ones. Both finished in the approx. 54″x70″.

I was lucky to win a stack of fat quarters last month (for the second month in a row!) and wanted to share what I decided to make. The inspiration was from a pattern by Miranda Stewart and the quilt measures 69×57. I’m calling it “Red Squares in the Wind”.

My youngest daughter saved her favorite onesies from her son and asked that I make them into a snuggly quilt. Her request was for “just gray, nothing else.” I couldn’t quite do it and had to add at least one more color, even if it was black. She forgot to give me the last onesie, which became a pillow. Terial Magic was a game changer for stabilizing the shirts.

Using Jennifer Sampou ombré table runner pattern, I made placements and a narrow runner for my daughter’s new kitchen table. The matchstick quilting really added texture and gave it a contemporary feel.

The larger quilt is called ‘Day Old Fish’ and the smaller one is ‘Catch and Release.’ They were taken from a Christmas Tree skirt that I bought at the MPS auction 3 years ago. I loved the fish so I remade the skirt into 2 new smaller quilts using nearly all of the original front and back material and all of the fish! I’ll be keeping the larger one and giving the smaller one away.

First two blocks of a turned edge appliqué. Pattern is ‘The Caldwell Quilt’ designed by Collins Searcy based on a 1835 rug.

My dear sister-in-law encouraged me to purchase Bonnie & Camille’s Moda ‘Sunday Stroll’ kit because of the polka dots, plaids and stripes. The plus for me was the dogwood fabric! Fun project that I named ‘Just Cheerful’. Two charity ‘daughter’ quilts made from scraps.
