Completed three more UFOS. Charity quilts for NE Cares.

Christie F inspired this quilt with her circle in a square and the statement ‘a good project to do while watching TV with my husband’. Blended two Ombres to reflect the color in ripples and waves of water. Enjoyed the hand appliqué and hand quilting this wall hanging. ‘Ripples & Waves’

This colorful quilt was made with Kona cottons and lots of patience! It was incredibly fun to put together as it was in cut and sewed in sections. It measured 96” X 96”.

I love the Laura Heine patterns, this is my fifth. I also, love mermaids. I made the little mermaids with my after school program. I found the cute shells at the dollar store at Easter.

My grandson who loves to play the Minecraft video game is turning 8 on July 6. He even dressed up as Steve, one of the main characters, for Halloween last year. That was the inspiration for my quilt. I hadn’t made him a quilt since he was born and he was due!
Most of the blocks came from Kelli’s website although I did design the axolotl and bee blocks myself. He loves it!

Isabella’s Quilt, 40″ x 44″, was made for a new great granddaughter born in April. I took one block from the pattern “Star Stream” by Chasing Tigers and supersized it. Instead of using one background fabric, I used several light to medium light greens from my stash to create a low-volume background. The quilting motif is “Sashay” from Anne Bright designs, quilted by Karlee Sandell.

3 of the tops going to QoV next week. They will be quilted & bound by others before being presented.

I was fascinated by the technique from Christie’s workshop. I had a table with a water stained top that would benefit from a table topper. I started with fabrics from my stash. I ended up needing more of both the ombré and the black. I was able to find more if both. This is 20X40” and required 200 background squares, 400 black flaps & 100 windows. Not sure I’d want to do one much larger.

I have made two other quilts that were to go down to our beach place that never made it there. This is definitely going to the beach! Quilt is 56X56”. I used small buttons for the eyes. I quilted it myself using an edge to edge pattern in my embroidery module.
