Special thanks to MPS member Neena K. for bringing this to our attention!
If you are a fan of Carol Bryer Fallert-Gentry, then you already know that she works out of her Bryerpatch Studio, which is located in Port Townsend, WA. But did you know that she has an exhibit in our own backyard?
Carol is featured in a solo exhibit at the Latimer Quilt and Textile Center in Tillamook, Oregon. Her show dates are May 3rd through June 27th of this year, and includes most of her recent work. General admission is $4.00 and Seniors aged 62+ pay $3.00.
Carol is internationally known for her award-winning art quilts. She uses digital techniques to create beautiful pieces; and through the use of curved seams and the illusions of light, her quilts seem to flow with movement.
The Latimer Center hours are posted on their website, and you can get there using the button below. Carol has also offered up a virtual show of her exhibit quilts on her website. Just click the button below. You will be able to click any of her images for a larger view of the quilts.
Tillamook is a lovely coastal town located on the Oregon Coast, and only an hour and a half drive from the Portland area. This is a great opportunity for us to see these quilts up close. Road trip anyone?
Have you seen Carol’s work? Have you been to this exhibit? Be sure and let us know what you think in the comments below.

thanks, Neena, for passing this info along to MPS. I’ll go to Latimer to see this exhibit next time I’m in Tillamook. I heard Carol speak a couple of years ago at Westside Quilters in Hillsboro. Enjoyed seeing her quilts in person then – looking forward to doing that again
Thanks for letting us know of this exhibit. I love her work! Exciting to know she has an exhibit at Latimer. Look forward to a day trip to see these quilts in person. Be sure to click on the individual quilts to see the fabric details and quilting up close.
