Hey, quilters and friends! Mark your calendars because you won’t want to miss the Metropolitan Patchwork Society’s (MPS) annual Silent Auction on Tuesday, August 27, 2024! It’s happening at the Bethel Congregational Church at 6:30 PM, and trust me, this is one of the most enjoyable events of the year.
The Silent Auction is our main fundraiser for the Vicky Arnold Memorial Program Fund, which helps us bring in some truly amazing speakers—many of whom are nationally known quilters. They come from all over the country (sometimes in person and sometimes through ZOOM) to share their knowledge and passion with us, and this event makes it all possible.
Whether you’re a member or just someone who loves the quilting community, you’re invited to join the fun. We’ve got an array of quilt-related goodies up for bid, plus a few surprise items that have nothing to do with quilting but are just too good to pass up. It’s a great chance to snag something special and connect with fellow quilters in a relaxed and friendly setting.
And the best part? We’ve got photos of a few of the items up for auction to whet your appetite! Watch this space for more to come.
So, come on out, bring your friends, and get ready for a fantastic evening of bidding, laughter, and good company. We can’t wait to see you there!
Have you been to one of our Silent Auctions? Did you go home with a special treasure? Let us know in the comments below.
