Lori Mason is a textile artist with a studio in Portland, Oregon. Besides quilting, she has also designed fabrics for RJR and Andover fabric companies.
Her work will be featured at The Dalles Art Center beginning today, September 7, 2023 until September 30th. This will be the first time many of her memorial quilts will be available for public viewing. The exhibit will also include some of her studio quilts and her fabrics.
You can read more about the exhibit by clicking the button below. I’ve also included a link to a video from Storymind Productions about her work. It’s about 3 minutes long and well worth your viewing time. Finally there is a link to her website, where you can read about her work and see some of the quilts she has designed.
Google Maps says it takes 2 hours by automobile to get from my door to the door of the Art Center in The Dalles. Sounds like a nice day trip with lunch included.
Love how you find and interesting stories with us! Thank you! Vickie R
Truly a beautiful way to give a heartfelt comfort to a sadness that often is difficult to know how to respond. I love how compassionate she is. Her space is incredible! Thank you for sharing this. Hope to get to see her work in The Dalles.
Beautiful video! It does capture the power of a woman with a sewing machine giving to others. linda
